StarlingX-OpenStack and Containers Take IT Infrastructures from Legacy to Agility
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 6, 2023 — As a sponsorship partner and active StarlingX community member, Encora announced today its participation in the upcoming OpenInfra Foundation’s (OIF) annual Summit. The 2023 OpenInfra Summit will be held June 13-15 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Attendees will collaborate directly with the people building and running open-source infrastructure using Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes and 30+ other technologies.
“As an innovation partner to some of the world’s leading technology companies, we believe it’s important for us to share the practical experience we’ve gained from contributing code and working with the StarlingX upstream community. The StarlingX project makes available a unique edge cloud computing architecture that is optimized for low latency, high performance applications,” said Augusto Cavalcanti, President Americas, Brazil Division at Encora. "We see this event as an important opportunity to meet one-on-one with community members interested in learning how StarlingX can fit into their own open infrastructure cloud strategy.”
Encora is Presenting at OpenInfra Summit
Douglas Pereira, from Encora’s global software engineering leadership team, will present the topic, “From Legacy to Agility: Why STX-OpenStack and Containers are the Key to Modernizing your IT Infrastructure” on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 at 2:30pm PDT. The presentation will cover how STX-OpenStack, a flexible and scalable cloud platform, can enable organizations to support both traditional VM-based and containerized workloads, improving efficiency, agility, and cost-effectiveness in application development and deployment.
“We are very pleased that Encora will join us at the event and present their insights about StarlingX. This helps strengthen the community and builds momentum around the open infrastructure movement,” said Paul Miller, Board of Directors, OpenInfra Foundation. “The OIF works to support the development and adoption of open infrastructure globally by hosting open-source projects and communities of practice, as well as events like the Annual Summit, to give our sponsors and community members the venue to meet, collaborate and build an ‘open’ future.”
