Encora’s 142 Employees in Bolivia Gave the Company Top Marks for Creating a Very Positive Workplace with Ample Opportunity to Grow and Succeed

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 25, 2023 Encora, a global next-gen product engineering provider, today announced that it was rated #1 by Great Place to Work® Bolivia in the 101-700 employee-sized companies category. This prestigious recognition was awarded to the company after its Bolivia office participated for the first time in the cultural assessment to obtain the Great Place to Work™ (GPTW™) certification.

The top spot is the result of an anonymous survey of employees who have worked at Encora for more than three months, as well as a culture audit in which the Great Place to Work® Institute validates company culture, engagement, diversity, among other key topics. In the most recent Great Place to Work Trust Index© survey, 91% of Encora’s Bolivian employees rated the company as a great workplace, significantly higher than the market average in Bolivia, which is currently 70%.

“We are thrilled to receive this endorsement from our employees following the Great Place to Work survey, as we strive to create a vibrant culture and workplace atmosphere that makes people excited and encouraged to work every day,” says Wilfredo Vargas, Country Manager at Encora Bolivia . “We understand that our people are the foundation to our Encora’s overall success, and from our leadership and all together with other areas, we are committed to doing right by our people. It is an absolute honor to receive this recognition!”

GPTW™ validates a company's organizational culture to determine whether its employees consider it a consistently good place to work. According to Great Place to Work® Institute research, employees in certified companies are 93% more likely to be happy in their jobs; the chances of receiving fair pay and promotion opportunities are doubled and there is a significant increase in the quality of leadership.

"This is the first time Encora's office in Bolivia participates in the Great Place to Work® study and it has already achieved the first place in its category in the Best Workplaces™ ranking in the country. This outcome demonstrates that Encora has effectively positioned people at the center of its strategy, promoting collaborative environments and optimal spaces for the integral development of its employees," said Aldana Fernandez, Country Manager at Great Place to Work® Bolivia.

Encora’s Bolivian office, located in Cochabamba, received top ratings across several key metrics associated with the GTPW survey, including:

  • 99% of employees say leaders trust employees to do a good job without continually monitoring them
  • 95% are proud to tell others they work at Encora
  • 97% feel comfortable requesting permission to attend to personal matters during work hours
  • 99% of employees feel they are treated fairly regardless of their age
  • And 98% feel comfortable being themselves in the workplace
