Client Challenge
The client, a global commodity trading and supply chain management company with operations in 35 countries, faced challenges adapting to the dynamic industry landscape. With an increasing emphasis on sustainability and responsible sourcing, there was a growing need for advanced geolocation features that track social and environmental factors throughout the supply chain. There was pressure to expand the farmer base and capture more origins and commodities to meet the rising demand. Client’s existing outdated technology required longer development cycles, complex testing, and release processes. Custom-made static reporting with cumbersome UI layers often required IT intervention for data retrieval. Moreover, scaling needed independent deployment of the application for each customer using the system.
