The Challenge

Cision, a global leader in PR and media intelligence, needed to move fast as the media landscape was evolving rapidly and competitors were rolling out new features that clients wanted now, not six months later. They had two major product launches on the line: an Integrated Social Platform to monitor real-time media buzz and a Journalistic Relationship Automation Solution to help PR teams connect smarter with reporters. However, critical roadblocks were slowing them down including limited engineering bandwidth with internal teams stretched thin, leadership turnover as engineering managers had exited leaving gaps in direction and ownership, aggressive deadlines with the window to beat competitors shrinking fast, and high customer expectations as global brands needed real-time data and better analytics or they'd look elsewhere. If Cision missed the window, they risked losing both momentum and market share and needed a reliable partner who could step in, lead with confidence, and build products that would reshape their competitive edge.

How We Did It

We brought structure, speed, and specialist talent, rooted in a modular, composable approach to engineering.

Stabilized Leadership, Streamlined Delivery

We embedded experienced project managers and engineering leads who restored clarity, redefined priorities, and accelerated execution. Teams worked with direction, focus, and confidence.

Built for Scale and Speed

We designed and developed scalable systems for real-time media tracking. With emphasis on reusability and composability, we helped Cision reduce redundancy and develop faster.

Tested Early, Tested Often

Continuous automated testing kept both platforms stable, even as release cycles accelerated. This helped teams ship confidently without compromise.

Global Delivery with Local Impact

With cross-functional teams in Costa Rica and India, we provided on-demand engineering capacity and around-the-clock progress, aligned to Cision’s business goals.

The Result: Two Successful Launches and a Stronger Market Position

Together, we delivered both platforms ahead of schedule with a 43% faster time-to-market and 61% improvement in innovation cycles. They were launched faster than planned, with real-time capabilities and flexible architecture ready for future innovation. Cision met their launch dates and reset their pace of innovation.
