Client Challenge

Encora’s client is a leading provider of hospital operations management software. Their core patient management platform was too slow to make efficient use of real-time information about patients, provider schedules and available care capacity. The corresponding mobile experience did not meet with user needs or expectations. The resulting inefficiencies created problems for doctors, nurses and patients, and diminished hospitals’ overall capacity for care.

Approach

The client-embedded Encora team led a multi-disciplinary effort to redesign and enhance the core functionality of the client’s patient management platform.

  • Cloud Enablement services unburdened the existing hardware and ensured there would always be enough bandwidth for high amounts of data to be transmitted and shared in real time. Product Support services enabled high functioning application integration.
  • DevOps & Continuous Engineering services supported a migration towards a rapid delivery model.
  • Product Engineering & Development services were used to reachitect and deliver the next major release of the platform, enhancing its core functionality.
  • Test Automation services ensured the quality and speed of all development throughout the process.
  • UI/UX and Mobility services carefully optimized the design and functionality of the mobile app, to meet and exceed the expectations of all user types.
