Encora Recognized among the Top 10 for Colombia's Best Workplaces™ 2022

December 20, 2022

Three Years after Opening Its Colombia Division, Encora Ranks 7th in the Country

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., December 20, 2022 Encora, a global next-gen product engineering provider, today announced its offices in Colombia have been certified by Great Place to Work® as one of Colombia's 2022 Best Workplaces™. This year, 282 organizations in Colombia took part in the evaluation process. Encora placed 7th in the category of companies with up to 300 employees in Colombia.

“It is inspiring to know our employees feel like they have a home at Encora. From day one, we begin to get to know new recruits and understand their needs," says José Luis Leal, Encora’s Country Manager in Colombia. "At this organization, people and their well-being come first. I would like to thank all the employees who participated in the survey for their dedication and commitment to Encora.”

To determine which organizations reflect the spirit of Colombia’s Best Workplaces, Great Place to Work® conducts an anonymous employee survey. This provides the institute with a better understanding of the employee experience within the organization. An assessment of the organization’s practices is conducted separately, through a research-based framework that evaluates whether the company meets its organizational objectives, empowers employees to work as a team, and builds a community based on trust.

Encora met these criteria through its dedication to creating an environment where all employees are happy, feel safe, and are provided opportunities to grow and express their individuality. At Encora, equal access to resources and opportunities, including economic participation and decision-making for all employees, is paramount. Valuing different behaviors, aspirations, and needs equally, is standard practice.

Encora received this recognition in Colombia due to its commitment to strong organizational culture and to fostering a work environment of belonging and inclusiveness where individuals with diverse backgrounds and talents can be their best. As the company has grown from 2,400 employees to more than 7,600 worldwide in the past three years, it has evolved its practices to ensure its culture will positively adapt alongside its growth.

Some of the specific practices Encora has implemented to accomplish this goal include work/life balance through flexible work schedules to accommodate employees’ varying needs; equal pay and work conditions for all genders; employer and employee contributions to the communities Encora serves; and the expectation that all Encora employees always treat others with dignity and respect. Encora also requires that all employees attend and complete annual diversity awareness training to ensure a culture where people feel safe, respected, empowered, and motivated to bring their best selves.
