Switchfly is a leading provider of loyalty solutions and e-commerce tools within the travel industry. As demand for differentiated travel loyalty services swelled in the pre-pandemic world, so too did the demands on Switchfly’s core technology platforms. Very quickly, Switchfly needed to streamline APIs to GDS connectors, refactor legacy code to revamp existing products, improve platform reliability, expand its product development capacity and accelerate the pace of new releases.

Switchfly partnered with Encora to deploy Agile methods, streamline the development cycle, improve platform performance and boost reliability.

  • A Site Reliability Initiative (SRI) established a more stable infrastructure to support improved platform performance and reliability.
  • Platform Modernization services were used to refactor legacy tools, improving platform performance, simplifying issue resolution and shortening agent learning curves.
  • DevOps shortened development time through a combination of automation and rigorous process management.
  • Mobility Solutions and UI/UX Services were used to quickly launch a new and extensible “Beer and Wine” app for one of Switchfly’s clients.
